Eligibility Criteria for CBI Apprentice Recruitment 2024

To qualify for the CBI Apprentice Recruitment in 2024, candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements outlined as follows: Candidates must fulfill one of the following conditions:

i) Hold citizenship of India
ii) Hold citizenship of Nepal
iii) Hold citizenship of Bhutan
iv) Be a Tibetan refugee who entered India prior to January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently in the country
v) Be an individual of Indian descent who relocated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of establishing permanent residency in India.

Applicants falling within categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) are required to possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. The deadline for meeting these eligibility criteria is March 31, 2024.

Educational Qualification of CBI Apprentice 2024

In order to qualify as a CBI Apprentice in 2024, individuals must have completed a bachelor’s program from a recognized university or hold comparable credentials approved by the Central Government. It is mandatory that applicants have received their undergraduate degree and hold the certification of passing post the 31st of March, 2020.

Selection Process of CBI Apprentice Registration 2024

Candidates wishing to apply for apprenticeships at the Bank, after submitting the necessary online fee, must participate in the selection procedure outlined below:
(i) Online Written Examination (Objective Format)

  • The online test will encompass five segments: 1. Quantitative Aptitude, General English, Reasoning Skills, and Computer Knowledge 2. Basic Retail Liability Products 3. Basic Retail Asset Products 4. Basic Investment Products 5. Basic Insurance Products
  • Selection will be determined by merit relative to available positions.
  • A Merit List will be created based on the number of vacancies.
  • If multiple candidates achieve identical scores on the Merit List, their ranking will be decided by age, with older candidates placed higher.
    (ii) Local Language Proficiency
  • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the local language.
  • A certificate from VIII/X/XII or Graduate level, indicating that local language was one of the subjects studied, will be required.
    The Bank retains the right to implement additional tests or selection criteria at its discretion.

CBI Apprentice Recruitment 2024: Training Terms, Leave Policy, and Holidays

  • Apprentices will receive hands-on training during their apprenticeship.
  • They are entitled to the same holidays as those recognized by the Bank.
  • Each month, apprentices will earn one casual leave, and no other leave types are available to them.
  • Apprentices may take a maximum of four casual leaves at once. Any unused leave will be forfeited upon the conclusion of their contract or termination.
  • Training hours will align with those of the Bank’s clerical staff.
  • Apprentices are not permitted to work overtime during their training.
  • In the event of an accident causing personal injury during the training period, the Bank will provide compensation based on the guidelines of the Workmen’s Compensation Act of 1923, modified as outlined in the Apprentices Act of 1961.
