While the main depot remains in Chittilapakkam, the sole office for acquiring AFD items is now conveniently located at the STN HQ. This relocation simplifies the process for anyone looking to buy a car, bike, scooter, or other consumables, removing the need to travel to the Chittilapakkam depot in Chromepet, Chennai. It operates from Monday to Saturday, welcoming customers from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM, with a lunch intermission from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The Avadi CSD URC Canteen in Avadi is currently operating under a designated schedule due to the ongoing Covid restrictions. On weekdays, it welcomes patrons during two sessions: from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the morning and 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM in the evening. Sundays are slightly different, with services available only in the morning from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Notably, Wednesdays are reserved as a day off, keeping the canteen closed.
